Terms of Service
Last updated: 28 March 2026
Agreement
By creating an account or using Exposite, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Exposite is currently in public beta. These terms apply during the beta period and will be updated before general availability. We will notify you of material changes via email.
What the service does
Exposite is an exegetical workbench. You submit sermon or teaching text, and the system organises observations across linguistic, historical, and theological layers using AI. You choose which layers to examine. You decide what the observations mean.
The service does not provide theological advice, pastoral counsel, or authoritative interpretation of scripture. It is a review tool, not a commentary. All observations should be verified against your own study and the scholarly sources cited.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Exposite. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
Your content
You retain full ownership of any sermon text, notes, or other content you submit to Exposite. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
By submitting text for analysis, you grant us a limited licence to process that text through our AI analysis pipeline solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the analysis or your account.
Your sermon text is never used to train or fine-tune AI models. It is processed transiently to generate observations and is not retained by the AI provider beyond serving your request.
AI-generated observations
The observations generated by Exposite are produced by a large language model. They may contain errors, inaccuracies, or mischaracterisations of scholarly sources. Language models are improving, but they are not yet reliable enough to trust without verification.
You are responsible for verifying any observation before relying on it in preaching, teaching, or publication. Exposite surfaces observations for your consideration. It does not certify their accuracy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to generate content intended to deceive, manipulate, or cause harm.
- Submit content that is illegal, abusive, or unrelated to theological or exegetical work.
- Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or replicate the analysis prompts or system instructions.
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical controls.
- Use automated tools to access the service at scale without prior written permission.
Beta period
During the beta, Exposite is free to use. All features and denominational lenses are available to all users. Usage is subject to generous monthly limits to manage infrastructure costs.
The beta period may end at any time. We will give at least 14 days notice before transitioning to paid tiers. Your data will be preserved through the transition.
During beta, you may encounter bugs, incomplete features, or periods of reduced availability. We appreciate your patience and your feedback.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
Limitation of liability
Exposite is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that observations will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated observations in preaching, teaching, or publication.
The cognitive work of interpretation stays with you. We provide a tool to support that work, but responsibility for how you use the observations rests with you.
Privacy
Your use of Exposite is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data, including the special handling required for religious data under GDPR Article 9.
Termination
You can stop using Exposite at any time by deleting your analyses and your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, with notice where practicable.
On account deletion, all your data (analyses, findings, feedback, and profile information) is permanently removed. Backups are purged within 30 days.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
